Rifle Marksmanship
Cowichan Footpath Loop at Skutz Falls
Ready, Aim, Fire! Prepare your trigger finger for clay pigeon and target range shooting. You will be training at the Valley Fish and Game Club with some of the valleys top instructors.
This scenic river loop trail follows the Cowichan River from Skutz Falls to the 66 Mile Trestle. This trail offers breathtaking river views, Garry Oak meadows, and glades of ferns and Devil's Club. This 8 km trail is relatively flat with a few moderately steep sections.
InstantPot - Cooking for the Modern Family
It was the hottest Christmas gift this year! Spend your time with your family instead of stirring pots over the stove! New and improved pressure cookers are safer and make quick, nutritious meals for your loved ones without much effort on your part! This isn’t your grandma’s pressure cooker!
Cave Exploration
Grab your hiking boots and your sense of adventure to discover what lurks underground! Tour a local cave and prepare to have a blast getting a little dirty with your friends.
Activity is off site. Transportation will be provided.

LADIES, Start Your Engines!!!!
This off-road driving experience teaches the basics of a vehicles capabilities. Elly comes from a background of racing around the world and owns Cowichan Auto Repair. Monthly, she hosts Women & Wheels Workshops where she educates women about their vehicles.
Go on and be the one who cuts the fire wood in your family! Learn the ins and outs of how to handle a chainsaw safely and efficiently. Enjoy a very "hands on" session out in the woods with an experienced wood cutter!

Rachel"s "Ridge" Talk
Questions about your faith? Thoughts about life that you want to talk about? After chapel on Sunday morning, hike up Mesachie Mountain with Rachel Ridge as your guide. Enjoy candid, honest conversation with this God loving woman.
Watch a Bald Eagle as he soars overhead, only to descend on a perch beside you! Enjoy handling these beautiful birds, including Elton - the cuddly owl! Check out the Pacific Northwest Raptors website for a sneak peek.
Live Edge Cutting Board
Enough is Enough
Cut, Plane, Sand and Stain your very own live edge cutting board.
God calls us to be good stewards of the material goods that he has given us. We will examine and draw a line at the point in each area of life that represents ‘enough’ and make practical decisions on how best to use our ‘excess’ to create opportunity to those in need. Led by our very own Auxano Director and author Jim Badke.
Steam Punk Shelves
Build yourself a unique shelf from rough cut wood and pipe fittings. Come with ideas and wall measurements. The wackier the better!
Fluid Art
Discover the freedom art of pour painting. In this workshop you will play with colour, learn various techniques, and create your own art piece using acrylics. This is a fun technique that may be addictive! No experience necessary.
Pallet Clock
It’s ‘time’ to build your own oversized (or choose your own size!), original wood pallet clock!
Container Gardening
Put together your very own spring container to bring home! Sabrina Arrowsmith, Certified horticulturist and the owner of Cyran Gardens Landscape Design, brings her years of horticultural expertise to the 2018 WOA program.
Intro to Sea-Kayaking
Paddle Sports
Enjoy the calm waters of Mesachie Lake as you maneuver your stand up Paddle Board. If you prefer a more traditional ride, grab a canoe or kayak and hit the water.
Gain kayaking experience and for those considering joining us on our first WOA Sea Kayak trip through the Gulf Islands in September, this will be a great warm up for you! Strengthen your paddle skills, and practice wet exits and rescues! Taught by Chris Easter, Gulf Island Kayak guide leader.
Rappelling
Triple Pack
Strap into a harness and prepare to feel the adrenaline rush of a 200 foot descent, rappelling yourself down the face of Mesachie Mountain.
Travel around the property trying all the fun activities, just like a summer camper! Shred it up on the BMX track, shoot some arrows, and try your grip on the climbing wall! This is a self-paced workshop with a camp leader who will show you the ropes!
Alternative Household Items
This is a hands on workshop that will show you how to make easy, safe and healthy alternatives to many of your regular chemical-based products. Make your own laundry detergent, beeswax food wrappers, and other products to incorporate into your lives as safe and effective alternatives.
Glass Etching
You will be stationed at work tables with the beautiful Mesachie Mountain as your backdrop. Enjoy a cappuccino while working on a variety of choices of glassware.
Wood N Gifts
Macrame
Create your own beautiful wood sign with Lanita, owner for our very own Cowichan Valley “Wood N Gift”.
Choose from many different designs.
Knot your way to a beautiful macrame wall hanging in this introductory level class! Your instructor will demonstrate the basic knots and hitches that you need to finish your first macrame project.
Sip & Sketch
Sip a steamy, barista-made drink and munch a little pastry while you lazily sketch it all (or not, if you’re feeling particularly relaxed!) . All materials provided and absolutely no artistic talent or experience needed.
Canoe Trip to Pineapple Beach
This is one of the two early morning out-trips! You will enjoy an early breakfast seating in order to get out on the water by 8am. This is a moderately strenuous paddle on the beautiful Lake Cowichan, where an experienced guide will lead you to the private Pineapple Beach.

Always wanted to sew but never got around to learning how? Join instructor Mel Way and gain the confidence to sew some fun projects in her class! Options include making your own heat pack, or slouchy headband.
Do you know how to sew but are intimidated to sew knits from a pattern? Join Mel Way and sew yourself a beautiful summer top! This pattern is a fun tunic/top/dress and pretty on every body shape!
Mesachie Mountain Hike
The beautiful mountain that overlooks Camp Imadene has the most breath taking view from the top! A hike that will compliment a novice hiker as well as satisfy the seasoned one!
Welding
Learn from an experienced welder, Carrie Moir, as she walks you through the basics of metal art welding.
Felting
Dot Painting
Curious about Felting? This felting workshop is a great way to meet people and develop your creative potential at the same time. Learn some felting techniques and go home with some fun projects you can be proud of!
Come and learn the calming art of painting with dots. Dot painting is an art form in which the picture is painted only with different sized dots and various colours of paint. All supplies provided and no experience required!
Rock Climbing
Scale several cliffs on beautiful Mesachie Mountain.
Outdoor Cooking
Whether you are out on the trail, or enjoying a summer backyard fire with your family, this workshop is all about the food! Don't sacrifice eating well while enjoying the outdoors. Learn some yummy tricks to pulling off a great meal! You will never look at ‘camping food’ the same way again.
