Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Manager is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director. This individual manages all physical operations, including maintenance, construction, and the organization of the day-to-day facility operations of Camp Imadene. All contractors and volunteer trades report to the Facilities Manager.

The Executive Director has overall responsibility for all activities on-site at Camp Imadene.
DETAILS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
General Duties
-
Maintain the total camp physical plant and equipment in optimal operating condition, adhering to preventive maintenance schedules and benchmarks.

Carry out operations and maintenance tasks directly or with the assistance of volunteers, part-time assistants, summer staff, or contractors.

Direct and supervise the work of volunteers, part-time assistants, and contractors, ensuring all safety standards are met.
Specific Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and upgrade buildings, grounds, and systems, including water supply, plumbing, sewage, drainage, painting, heating, refrigeration, electrical, fire alarm, telephone, power lines, and fire pump.

Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment, grounds, waterfront facilities, program equipment, furnishings, and vehicles.

Improvements and Planning:

Recommend improvements.

Assist in developing plans for program infrastructure, facility renovations, and new construction in collaboration with architects or engineers.

Equipment Servicing: Inspect and service vehicles, powerboats, tools, and grounds equipment on a regular or seasonal basis or arrange for such service per the recommended maintenance schedule.

Security:

Conduct frequent inspection and security checks of all camp properties and facilities.

Respond to physical plant emergencies during working hours.

Be "on-call" for physical plant emergencies.

Program Support: Provide support services for summer camping programs, work parties, off-site events, and guest groups.

Janitorial Oversight: Ensure high cleanliness standards for all facilities and properties.

Waste Management: Oversee recycling and garbage disposal, integrating environmentally sustainable practices where possible.

Maintenance Requests: Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests.

Rental Hosting: Participate in hosting rental groups, ensuring facility readiness and safety.

Training: Ensure all equipment operators are adequately trained and comply with safety standards.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations such as WBC, health regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.

Safe Boating: Oversee and instruct safe powerboating practices, ensuring all boats launched are clean and free from invasive plant species.

Volunteer Coordination: Prepare materials, tools, and instructions for skilled volunteer projects related to your responsibilities.

Mentorship: Provide Christian mentorship and biblical support to volunteers and staff.

Care and Support: Demonstrate commitment to providing Christian love, biblical care, and support as needed.
